There is a general opinion that flat roofs are not suitable for our weather in Scotland, this could not be further from the truth, the main problem is how it’s been done.

The best way to do a flat roof is to give a run of say 4” to 0” over 5m roughly, this would give the roof a good run off and avoid major ponding, this is something we can do if complete roof replacement is requested.

We have decided only to do traditional felt roofing from now on, using top quality polyester based felt which has come on massively over the past 40 odd years we have been in the trade, it will be securely torch heat bonded with standard roof being one layer of 2mm underlay and a 5kg mineral cap sheet finish providing a 10 year guarantee which will have a Insurance backed warranty applied by ourselves.

We can also offer insulation fitted during the time and can also upgrade the life expectancy and our guarantee to 20 years by adding additional layers of felting.
